Here is a recent water colour portrait of a friend – “Mossy”:
I will be showing 2 paintings at the upcoming anniversary exhibition at the Deer Lake Art Gallery 1-29 February 2020.
One painting is called “Life” and is a watercolour I did at life drawing last fall:
The other is an oil painting called “Summer Concert” done from a composite of several sketches made at Nicola Lake BC.:
The instruments are, left to right; rebec, hurdy-gurdy, bombard – all ancient instruments from the Middle Ages.

Since retiring from the practice of architecture and teaching environmental design, I have redirected my website to here. I have been a member of the Burnaby Artists Guild since 2015.
I have participated in two shows and have 3 paintings in progress.

Now I am mainly using acrylics for under painting of oil paintings. An example of an acrylic under painting is:
My first efforts at painting were all watercolours – this occurred during my university days under the tutelage of Gentile Tondino at McGill’s School of Architecture.
Since retirement in 2016 I have begun working with acrylics and, more recently, water miscible oil paint.
