The Terasen Gas Operations Centre was part of a large scale project called Coastal Facilities; there were two other buildings on this site in Surrey and two on the Burnaby site. The Operations Centre predates the deployment of LEED but the pilot version of LEED 1.0 was used as a framework for the integrations of many green building strategies including energy modeling, storm water management, natural ventilation, daylight design, thermal mass, xeroscaping, rainwater harvesting and alternative fuel vehicle fueling stations.
